A rented double-garage
Once upon a time, in 1998, in the vibrant city of Kaunas, Lithuania, a small but ambitious venture took its very first steps.
It sounds like a cliché, but the story of PalletBiz truly began in the most humble of settings – a rented double-garage.
Paid off determination
Fueled by a vision to bridge the gap between technology and business opportunities, the founders of PalletBiz ventured into the world of pallets. By acquiring technology and licenses from Denmark we began selling products back to our Scandinavian counterparts.
The early days were filled with challenges and hard work, but our determination and dedication paid off. Within the first two years of operation, the business grew rapidly, necessitating a move to larger and more suitable factory premises. As the local market for used and reconditioned pallets grew, a significant opportunity presented itself.
Fast growth
The prestigious IKEA, a household name in the furniture and home goods industry, recognized PalletBiz’ commitment to quality and innovation. Impressed by our approach, IKEA became a major client, providing the company with an opportunity to showcase our expertise and expand our reach. In the early 2000s, IKEA’s satisfaction with PalletBiz’s services led to a new chapter in the company’s journey.
IKEA requested PalletBiz to establish production facilities in Romania, where the supply of high-quality EUR-pallets was scarce. Seeing big potential in this new market, we accepted the challenge and soon established more relationships with other high-volume users of packaging materials in Romania.

As the years passed, PalletBiz’ reputation continued to grow, and by 2004, we realized our unique business model had caught the attention of others in the industry. Recognizing the value of our approach, we strategically structured our company to welcome franchise opportunities.
With a focus on expansion, PalletBiz set its sight towards EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) as our primary target. Throughout the years, the company had come a long way from the humble beginnings in that rented double-garage.
The journey was marked by innovation, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering premium quality products and services to our clients. Today, PalletBiz is an example of how a small idea, nurtured with hard work and passion, can evolve into an international success story.
