Considering that PalletBiz operates in an industry that is heavily dependent on the abundance of quality raw materials (particularly wood), as well as on other resources such as energy, fossil resources, and water, we recognize that we must strategically deal with our impact on the environment and the respective social constructs.

Large-volume pallet supply with minimal lead time

Large-volume pallet supply with minimal lead time

How fast can a pallet producer deliver a really big order? The honest answer is that it depends on whether three things line up. The pallets are made close to your warehouse. The right pallet is chosen before production, not during it. And the producer has done this at scale before.

PalletBiz is a network of production units and depots in 13 countries, with more than 280 employees and about 2.5 million packaging units sold a year. The company began in Kaunas, Lithuania in 1998, grew into Romania in the early 2000s, and has added new locations since, so each unit has its own track record. This article is specific about where each one stands.

Why does distance decide the delivery date?

A pallet is bulky and light. Moving it a long way costs money and adds days. So the first question we ask is not “how many?” but “where?”

We produce in Romania (Covasna and Prejmer), Germany (Schwelm), Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and South Africa. In each of these countries we work with an established network of approved partners, so even the biggest quantities can be handled in the shortest time. In Hungary, Austria and Poland we serve customers through a strong supplier network, or from Germany or Romania. Your order goes to the most suitable unit for your site. Our Bahrain team, for example, delivers on the day the order arrives, or the next day at the latest.

What if you arrive with a load, not a pallet type?

Often you do. Many buyers come to us with the weight, size and handling of the load, and no idea which pallet is best. That is normal, and the order does not wait for it. Our team works with you to find the most efficient solution, and that can include tests on your site, repeated if needed, until the pallet works in your real flow.

This step often saves money. We regularly find that a customer does not need a heavy EPAL pallet at all. In that case we can, for example, agree on a lighter PalletBiz pallet, which can be produced as fast as an EPAL pallet and held in stock.

For bigger questions, such as redesigning the whole packaging range, we of course also provide the consultancy.

Have you worked with large, well-known customers?

Yes. We have signed non-disclosure agreements with very large logistics and e-commerce companies, so we cannot share their names or their data. What we can say is that our teams have extensive experience with big orders that must arrive complete and on the agreed date.

One case we can describe without a name: a global 3PL needed packaging adapted to its handling flow, inside a tight delivery window. We adapted the solution to its operation, manual intervention went down, and the customer kept ordering from us for its ongoing needs.

What lead time can you expect?

Lead time depends on pallet type, quantity and site, so we confirm it for every order, counted from order confirmation to delivery in working days. Regarding standard products in the GCC countries, we can deliver on the day we receive the order or the next day. In other markets, such as South Africa, lead time is normally 7 to 10 days from receipt of the purchase order. Custom-made packaging and handling depend on stock availability or on what we agree with each customer. We are always happy to work with short turnarounds where we can. For an example of speed in a regulated flow, see our case From Order to Airlift in 48 Hours.

Which pallets and services come with a large order?

Large orders from international companies are what we are set up for, and our range for bulk orders covers almost everything we make. EUR/EPAL pallets come from licensed factories: either our own PalletBiz Romania, which holds the EPAL manufacturing licence, or an approved partner in the network. Alongside EUR pallets and EPAL pallets, the range includes warehouse pallets in two-way and four-way entry, including stringer pallets and block pallets, Euro-size pallets, and lightweight ISPM-15 export pallets for cross-border lanes. If a standard pallet is too heavy for your load, PalletBiz pallets are a lighter alternative.

For special loads we make custom pallets, custom boxes, crates and seaworthy boxes. For returns and mixed loads there are pallet collars with dividers and plastic corners.

Around the products sit our services: heat treatment, handling, collection and repair, buy-back, load packing and strapping, and recycling.
Certificates are on the certifications page.

FAQ

What is the minimum order for large-volume pallet supply?
There is no single minimum for every market. Tell us the pallet type or the load and the delivery site, and we will confirm quantity and price.
Minimums may vary by operation, so please contact your local sales team.

Can PalletBiz deliver pallets just in time?
Yes. In some markets, such as Saudi Arabia, lead times can be as short as the same day or the next day, and we confirm the lead time for every order. Just-in-time delivery is subject to prior agreements, such as accurate forecasting, service level agreements (SLAs) and contingency or buffer stock arrangements.
Terms may vary by operation, so please contact your local sales team.

Can one order cover several countries?
Yes. We supply across our network in Europe, the Middle East and South Africa, subject to local stock and regulations. EPAL-marked pallets are made by PalletBiz Romania, one of the first holders of the EPAL licence in the region for both production and licensed repair.
Call-off and stock-holding options may vary by operation, so please contact your local sales team.
