A completely new saw mill has been added at the Romanian PalletBiz factory in Covasna, Romania.
The new sawmill is part of a larger investment, that includes:
- A new Sawmill
- A new Drying chamber
- New forklifts and larger machinery.
The new sawmill will replace the old sawmill, that ceased operation in 2013. The sawmill will therefore provide a long waited flexibility in the production as the factory is now no longer dependent solely on external sawmills to provide its premium lumber.
It is expected that the sawmill will become FSC certified during H2 2015 at line with the pallet operation, which has been FSC certified since 2013.
An additional drying chamber will likewise be part of the investment to cover an increasing demand of kiln drying and heat-treatment (IPPC ISPM-15).
